Dylan Hurwitz is a Brooklyn-based painter working in painting and works on paper. Working from observation at traditionally gay beaches, he creates paintings that oscillate between landscape, figure, and abstraction, exploring queer community, connection, and gathering space. He holds an MFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and a BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University, and has shown solo work at EDJI (Brussels), Galerie Fuchs (Stuttgart), Auxier Kline (New York), the Cabin LA, and Freight+Volume (New York).
