Harrison Tenzer, born in 1989, is a Brooklyn-based artist working primarily with Plexiglas, using the material as both surface and subject to explore perception and the layered nature of seeing. His pieces combine finely etched, meditative line work with alcohol-ink staining, a process he has described as intuitive drawing developed in response to feelings of loneliness and fear. His debut solo exhibition, Projections, was presented at The Empty Circle, an artist-run space directed by Claudia Doring Baez. Tenzer is also a curator and writer, publishing as Art Inevitable and contributing to The Brooklyn Rail, alongside prior roles at Sotheby's Contemporary Art department and UTA's Fine Art division.
