PaintingMy work explores the unease, disconnection and vulnerability arising from unsettled feelings that can arise in the presence of others. These urban settings, deserted spaces and monotonous landscapes express the intangible by mirroring these feelings of tension and solitude. The stillness, repetition and quiet emptiness of these subjects utilize a visual language to transform the external landscape into a reflection of the internal—a place where emotion intersects with environment. My work aims to invite viewers to sense fragments of their own inner vulnerability within these same places of quiet emptiness.
My paintings are rooted in the complex emotions that emerge when I feel unsettled in the presence of others—moments of disconnection, vulnerability, or unease. These inner states become the lens through which I observe and respond to the world around me. I am drawn to urban environments, deserted spaces, and monotonous landscapes—places that seem to mirror these feelings of tension and solitude. Within their stillness, repetition, or quiet emptiness, I find the visual language to express what is often intangible. Through this process, the external landscape transforms into a reflection of the internal one. My work seeks to capture that intersection, inviting the viewer to recognize fragments of their own emotions in the spaces I create.
