Kyle Phillips

My work is a constant exercise in me trying to chill out, and I am not sure how much it works. Some paintings are meant to look unfinished (or at least I am trying to convince myself to let them go at the right time), some have a surreal narrative, capture humor or sweetness while others are documentations of beauty in the mundane things I have snapped pics of over the years.

Kyle lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. His paintings have been featured in group exhibitions both in New York City and internationally, as well as in solo shows throughout Connecticut. His work is included in the permanent collection of the New Britain Museum of American Art and in private collections across the country. Kyle is represented by Eric Schindler Gallery in Richmond, VA.
