LBV Handmade is the studio of fiber artist Lisa Ventry, who hand-weaves rugs, wall hangings, and other home goods from a studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Ventry has said she inherited a love of textiles from her grandmother, a skilled crocheter and sewer, and spent years knitting and weaving as a hobby before deciding in 2021 to work in fiber arts full-time, offering handmade, locally made pieces for the home. Her work is listed with the Gowanus arts community and has been shown at craft and design markets including Field + Supply. She works primarily in weaving and knitting, with a focus on color and texture in functional, handmade textile pieces.
