Li Zhang is an illustrator, designer, and art director based in New York City. Originally from Jiangsu Province, China, she worked as a product engineer for the automaker Groupe PSA in Shanghai before enrolling at the Fashion Institute of Technology to study illustration and launching her art career in 2016. Her practice centers on symbolic, geometrical, pattern-based illustration that combines logical structure with color and storytelling, exploring themes of diversity through pieces such as "Move into the Future" and "Suzhou Gardens." She cites illustrators including Victo Ngai, Lisk Feng, and Yuko Shimizu as influences.
