Lisa LaBracio is a Brooklyn-based animation director and educator who specializes in handmade and mixed-media animation. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, she was part of the founding production team at TED-Ed, directing educational animated shorts, and has created animation for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's #MetKids program, Amazon Studios, Stripe, the CDC, and UNHCR. Since 2015 she has run a freelance virtual studio, assembling international teams project by project. She also teaches as an adjunct instructor at the School of Visual Arts, co-founded the NYC screening series Animation Speak/Easy, and has led more than 100 animation workshops worldwide. She is based in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
