Mindy Indy

I’m the creator of AER HEAD, a sci-fi comic inspired by anime and manga that I’ve been developing for years — the series I always wished existed as a teen. My process blends hand-painted watercolor backgrounds with cel-style shading, echoing the feel of classic animation. For Gowanus Open Studios, I’m showing selections from my solo show Storyboard to Stars, featuring every step of my comic-making process alongside watercolor concept art of Mars. These works explore dreams vs. reality, hope vs. skepticism, and nature vs. technology within a half-terraformed, wild Martian landscape.
