Rick Secen is a Brooklyn-based artist working primarily in oil painting since 2015. Rick's compositions and painting methods embrace the chaos and rhythm of life. The works are often saturated with light and atmosphere as well as a sense of story.

Figurative oil paintings created using traditional methods with an impressionist technique to tell contemporary stories. Some of my paintings are a record of this city in my time. Some are witness to those who give it life. Some paintings glorify the ordinary. Some reveal beauty in solitude. All were an act of love.
