Rina Young is a jewelry artist based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, working under the name OpticVerve to create handmade, one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces in sterling silver, gemstones, and aluminum. Her designs pair large precious and semi-precious stones in loose, freeform settings, and she has been designing and making jewelry for over three decades. Young maintains a studio in Greenpoint and takes part in the neighborhood's annual Greenpoint Open Studios tour, where she shows and sells her work alongside other local artists.
