
Rob Anderson
Mixed mediaRob Anderson is a Queens-born muralist who studied comparative literature at Queens College before working as a shoe salesman and pursuing music, transitioning to full-time visual art in 2018. His murals, which he describes as "modern pop art" depicting everyday life through "a whimsical lens," are concentrated in Fresh Meadows, Queens, where his viral 2019 piece "Greetings from Queens" drew attention on Reddit's NYC subreddit; other works include "The Kitchen" and the interactive "Kittizens of Fresh Meadows" series, which invites public participation. He has also exhibited at Art Basel, undertaken commissions across New York City and in Hungary, and works as a teaching artist with the Brooklyn Arts Council, running mural workshops for youth at the Bronx's Kingsbridge Heights Community Center since 2017.
