SDN is an ethical menswear and womenswear label founded and designed by Marcus Hicks, operating out of a studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Hicks worked as a freelance tailor for musicians and fashion houses before launching SDN as a small project recycling and hand-dyeing used T-shirts, later expanding into a full line made from organic, recycled, and other sustainable fabrics produced without sweatshop labor. The brand describes itself as anticapitalist and anti-imperialist, aiming to subvert the fashion status quo through small-batch production and fair labor practices, and it has donated proceeds from select items to organizations including Doctors Without Borders and Gilda's Club. SDN has shown its sustainable-fashion work internationally, including a curated exhibition in Tokyo, and has produced fashion films screened at festivals such as the Copenhagen Fashion Film Festival.

Materially supporting causes that benefit humankind. Whether through social justice, the environment, or humanitarian causes, a portion of all sales will go to organizations that work towards these goals. 2. Using materials with less impact on the earth. We will aim to only use sustainable fabrics and packaging. 3. Only producing small batches. We will only make small amounts of each product to help eliminate waste. 4. Using fair labor. We will only use local, sweatshop-free, or artisinal production facilities. 5. Creating unique, subversive products.
