Shalom Ber Burkis is a Crown Heights, Brooklyn-based artist and photographer known for street art and murals depicting Chassidic life and imagery. His public work in the neighborhood includes a large piece in a Kingston Avenue alleyway showing Chassidim journeying to see the Rebbe, completed over roughly 24 hours, and a drawing rendering a portrait of the Alter Rebbe formed from the handwritten words of the Tanya.
