A Blade of Grass is an artist-led nonprofit based in Long Island City, Queens, dedicated to nurturing socially engaged art. The organization supports artists whose work engages directly with communities and social issues, and it publishes Landscapes, a digital platform exploring ecosystems of socially engaged art through essays, conversations, and commissioned projects with a rotating guest collaborator each issue. It has also produced public programming, including a Curriculum for the Future initiative commissioning collaborative artist projects.
