Amant is a nonprofit contemporary art center established in 2019 in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, operating as a non-collecting institution with free public admission to all exhibitions and programs. Its campus, designed by the Brooklyn-based firm SO-IL, spans roughly 31,000 square feet across five buildings and includes exhibition galleries, performance and screening spaces, a bookshop, and a cafe. Amant's program emphasizes experimentation through exhibitions, live performances, screenings, publications, and artist residencies, and it extends its residency offerings beyond New York to sites in Siena, Italy, and Jose Ignacio, Uruguay. Recent exhibitions at the space have featured artists including Kim Gordon and Christelle Oyiri.
