BUREAU is a contemporary art gallery founded by curator Gabrielle Giattino, whose program grew out of Dispatch, the experimental project space she developed with Howie Chen beginning in 2007. The gallery opened in May 2010 on the Lower East Side and moved to a larger space in the neighborhood in 2013. By its tenth anniversary, marked with the 2020 exhibition 'Until tomorrow: Ten Years of Bureau,' the gallery represented nineteen artists working across painting, sculpture, photography, and conceptual practice, among them artists first shown at Dispatch such as Erica Baum, Ellie Ga, Tom Holmes, Matt Hoyt, and Lionel Maunz. Recent programming includes Kyung-Me's 2026 solo exhibition 'Sunflower.'
