Hirschl & Adler Galleries is a Manhattan gallery founded in 1952 by Norman S. Hirschl and Abraham M. Adler, joined in 1967 by Stuart P. Feld, a former associate curator of American painting and sculpture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who has served as president since 1982. A member of the Art Dealers Association of America, the gallery specializes in American and European paintings, watercolors, drawings, and sculpture from the eighteenth through early twentieth centuries, American prints of all periods, and American decorative arts from 1810 to 1910. Now located in the Fuller Building at Madison Avenue and 57th Street, it organizes roughly a dozen scholarly exhibitions each year, often accompanied by published catalogs, and serves private collectors, museums, and institutions.
