The Institute for Studies on Latin American Art (ISLAA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Ariel Aisiks to advance the study and visibility of Latin American, Caribbean, and diaspora art, based in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan. ISLAA operates a free public exhibition space alongside a research center housing a library and archive, and it runs education initiatives including the ISLAA Forum for graduate students and an Artist Seminar Initiative at partner universities, plus a curatorial fellowship held jointly with the New Museum since 2022. The organization also maintains an in-house publishing program and has distributed more than 500 artworks from its collection to museums nationwide in support of scholarship on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Latin American art.
