Karma
Art galleryKarma is a contemporary art gallery and publisher founded by Brendan Dugan in 2011 in a small storefront in Manhattan's West Village. It formally developed into a gallery when it moved to the East Village in 2015, and has since expanded to a second New York space, a location in Los Angeles, and a bookstore that opened in 2018 selling artist books and rare ephemera alongside its own publications. Karma represents a multigenerational roster of established and emerging painters, sculptors, and mixed-media artists, presenting roughly twenty exhibitions a year, many accompanied by gallery-published monographs. Work by its artists is held in public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
