Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art was the founding name of the institution now called the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, a museum in SoHo, Manhattan devoted to visual art by LGBTQIA+ artists and to art exploring queer themes. It traces to a 1969 loft exhibition organized by collectors Charles W. Leslie and J. Frederic Lohman, became a nonprofit foundation in 1987, and operated a series of SoHo gallery spaces before earning New York State museum status in 2011 and full accreditation in 2016, when it was described as the world's only museum dedicated to LGBTQ art. It maintains a collection of more than 22,000 objects alongside changing exhibitions and public programs.
