Lisson Gallery is an international contemporary art gallery founded in London in 1967 by Nicholas Logsdail, whose inaugural exhibition that April introduced a group of young artists and helped launch the early careers of Minimal and Conceptual figures such as Carl Andre, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd, and Robert Ryman. In the 1980s the gallery became closely associated with New British Sculptors including Anish Kapoor and Richard Deacon. It opened a purpose-built New York space beneath the High Line in Chelsea in 2016, inaugurated with an exhibition by Carmen Herrera, and expanded that space in 2020. Today Lisson represents roughly 80 international artists, including Marina Abramović and Ai Weiwei, across galleries in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Shanghai.
