Marian Goodman Gallery
Art galleryMarian Goodman Gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded in 1977 by dealer Marian Goodman, who launched it after concluding that major European artists lacked adequate representation in the United States. Originally on East 57th Street before relocating to West 57th Street in 1984, the gallery moved its New York operations to Tribeca in 2023 and has since expanded to Los Angeles; it also maintains a longstanding Paris space in the Marais, opened in 1999, and previously operated in London from 2014 to 2020. The gallery has built its program around long-term commitments to artists, representing figures including Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Gabriel Orozco, Thomas Struth, and William Kentridge across photography, film, sculpture, and painting. It remains one of the most influential galleries bridging European and American contemporary art.
