The Myrtle Avenue Revitalization Project (MARP) was a nonprofit local development corporation founded in 1999 to revitalize the Myrtle Avenue commercial corridor serving Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Growing out of earlier merchant associations, MARP cut a high storefront vacancy rate roughly in half through initiatives such as "Rolling Up the Gates" and received New York Main Street program awards that funded improvements to the avenue's built environment. After 23 years of operation, MARP dissolved in 2022, transferring its programs and assets to the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District it had helped create; together they now form the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, which continues community and cultural programming along the corridor.
