Pace Gallery is an international contemporary and modern art gallery founded in Boston in 1960 by Arne Glimcher, who was 22 at the time; the gallery relocated to Manhattan in 1963 and today operates a flagship space in Chelsea alongside locations in London, Geneva, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and elsewhere. Pace represents roughly 80 artists spanning emerging, established, and legacy generations, and has worked over the decades with figures including Mark Rothko, Agnes Martin, Louise Nevelson, and Chuck Close. Beyond exhibitions, the gallery runs Pace Publishing, which has produced more than a thousand artist books and monographs, and organizes public installations and philanthropic projects. Marc Glimcher, Arne's son, currently serves as president and CEO, with Samanthe Rubell as gallery president.
