POWRPLNT
Art galleryPOWRPLNT is a nonprofit new-media arts and education organization based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It was founded in 2013 by Angelina Dreem and Anibal Luque with the aim of bridging traditional arts education and digital creative practice, particularly for young people. The organization began in 2014 as a pop-up in a Bushwick gallery space, running open-access computer labs and workshops with artists such as Print All Over Me and Molly Soda, before touring pop-ups to Red Bull Studios and a Hunter College gallery in East Harlem in 2015. With startup funding from the Sister Fund, POWRPLNT later converted a former Bushwick hair salon into a permanent home, where it now offers workshops in music production, creative coding, freelance business skills, and AI as a creative tool alongside volunteer-led community programming.
