secret project robot
Art gallerysecret project robot is an artist-run gallery and performance space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, co-founded by Rachel Nelson and Erik Zajaceskowski, with roots in the late-1990s DIY music and art venue Mighty Robot. Operating under its current name since 2004, the space has moved several times—through Monster Island on Kent Avenue, Melrose Street in Bushwick, and a stint in Bedford-Stuyvesant—before reopening in 2020 at its original Wythe Avenue address. Combining gallery exhibitions with live music, dance parties, and immersive installations, it positions itself as an alternative to the conventional gallery model and has been recognized in the New York Times among the city's notable artist-run spaces.
