Skyscraper Museum
Art galleryThe Skyscraper Museum is a small institution in Battery Park City, Lower Manhattan, devoted to tall buildings as design objects, engineering feats, real-estate investments, and places of work and living. Founded in 1997 by architectural historian Carol Willis, who continues to serve as director and curator, it examines the historical forces and individuals that have shaped New York's successive skylines. The museum offers free admission and has presented exhibitions on subjects such as the development of Park Avenue, supertall towers, and concrete construction, alongside school visits, walking tours, and an online archive of skyscraper history.
