Alice Herbert

Alice Herbert is an emerging conceptual artist in New York. She grew up in California and France, where she attended several alternative schools, she briefly reentered 'formal education' before dropping out to receive her GED. Later she attended several universities, finishing with a BA in Art Studio from the University of California at Davis. While at UC Davis she ran the student gallery, The Basement Gallery, putting on many group shows and senior exhibitions. She also worked closely with faculty and MFA candidates in their studios and in independent studies.

Her studio practice concerns itself with peering through gaps and openings.
