
Michael Fusco
OtherMichael Fusco is a figurative artist working across ballpoint pen, oil painting, mural painting, and drawing, with a focus on the human and animal figure often abstracted or fantastically augmented. Born in 1987, he studied industrial design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and earned an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, where he specialized in anatomy; his figure-drawing practice has included sessions at Drexel University's medical school, covered by National Geographic. He has undertaken artist residencies including one in Beijing and a 2022 printmaking residency at Proyecto'ace in Buenos Aires, and has mounted solo exhibitions such as Hybrids II and Hybrids III at the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory, alongside public murals including a permanent piece at Einstein Square. He also works as a union scenic painter and commercial sign painter.
