Arts Gowanus is a nonprofit organization that supports, promotes, and advocates for local artists and a sustainable arts community in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Best known as the organizer of Gowanus Open Studios, an annual event marking its 30th year in 2026 that opens local artists' studios to the public, the organization also runs a fellowship program for emerging artists, provides subsidized studio space, offers curatorial services, and maintains an online artist directory. Its exhibitions and community projects have included The Tower Show, featuring some 300 artists, and Creatures of the Canal, celebrating the reopening of the Carroll Street Bridge, along with presentations at fairs such as The Other Art Fair and the Affordable Art Fair.
