FAILE
Mixed mediaFAILE is the collaborative name of Brooklyn-based artists Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller, who met on their first day of high school and began working together in 1999. The duo started by wheatpasting and stenciling dense, pop-culture-inflected imagery, drawing on comic books, religious iconography, and pulp fiction, on the streets of Williamsburg, before expanding into silkscreen prints, sculpture, and studio painting. Their work bridges street art and fine art practice and has been shown in museum settings, including a survey exhibition, Savage/Sacred Young Minds, at the Brooklyn Museum, which featured the interactive installation Deluxx Fluxx Arcade, created with fellow street artist BAST, and the sculptural FAILE Temple, developed for a biennial in Lisbon.
