Gail Bach is a Brooklyn-based painter working in watercolor and metallics on Arches paper and birch panels, focused on the color, texture, and geometry of tropical flora and fauna drawn from Caribbean landscapes. She holds an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BS in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and took part in the Whitney Museum of American Art's Independent Study Program. Her exhibition history includes the Fullerton Art Museum, the Katonah Museum, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and her public work has appeared in the CowParade public art initiative in both Madison, Wisconsin and New York City. Bach is a former director of the environmental artists' group Envirosite and holds a Yaddo fellowship.
