Hilary Fitzgerald Campbell is a Brooklyn-based cartoonist and stand-up comedian who is a regular contributor to The New Yorker; it took about a year of submitting before her first cartoon was published there. Originally from Northern California, she moved to New York after working in film and turning to comedy. She is the author of two graphic memoirs: Murder Book, which explores true-crime culture and won a Midwest Publishers Association award for Best Graphic Novel, and The Joy of Snacking, about disordered eating and body image. She also co-illustrated journalist Jessica Bennett's book Feminist Fight Club, contributing artwork to its guide on workplace feminism.
