How and Nosm is the artist name of identical twins Raoul and Davide Perre, born in 1975 and raised in Dusseldorf, Germany, where they began making graffiti in the late 1980s. After first visiting New York City in 1997 and connecting with the Bronx graffiti crew TATS CRU, the brothers relocated permanently to the city in 1999 and became members of the crew, known as 'The Mural Kings.' They are known for large-scale murals built from intricate, interconnected linework rendered almost exclusively in red, black, and white, a style they have carried from street walls into gallery paintings on canvas exhibited internationally.
