Jeff Bartell

Drawing on influences of science fiction and mythology, my current work explores the spaces between the supernatural and the mundane. An ambivalent escape, fantasy is often comforting and alienating all at once. The more the lines of reality and reverie blur, the more the psyche is inclined to investigate and understand them. With a bend toward the surreal, my drawings ask the viewer to come closer and follow their sense of inquiry.
