Joann Amitrano

As a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, photography, jewelry design, and found object sculpture, my practice is rooted in a deep sense of connection—between materials, environments, and the human experience. Whether through the deliberate composition of a photograph, the tactile formation of wearable art, or the transformative reuse of discarded objects, I seek to uncover meaning in the relationships between things often overlooked.

I love to create! I go according to my inspiration, sometimes it may be with beads, photography, painting, mosaics, interior decorating & even cooking. Whatever medium I work in I strive to make something that evokes a feeling, memory and that has good quality to make it last. I love the idea of creating pieces that may become your families heirloom. My intention with my newest series of works was to have some pieces that are comical while many have positive elements either through words as seen in my street photography or in the gems that I choose for use in my personal adornments collection.
