I am a painter living and working in Brooklyn, New York. My practice centers on oil painting, a medium with a depth and richness I’m drawn to. My work leans to atmospheric landscapes—spaces where light behaves in unexpected ways, transforming the ordinary into something mystical and ethereal.

I look for beauty in color, line and shapes and find it in the oddest of places. Without necessarily understanding why I'm attracted to a particular image or form, I take multiple photographs of it, from different angles, using different light settings, and then use those for reference to compose and frame the work in my studio. I do not want to just copy the figure; I try to highlight what I find interesting in it. I give myself permission to explore contrasts in color, light, shadow and line while preserving the honesty of the model.
