
Liza Domingues
Mixed mediaLiza Domingues is a Brooklyn-based painter and, more recently, sculptor, born in São Paulo, Brazil, where she earned a degree in visual communication from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado in 2004. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas and wood along with mixed media such as sand, she creates abstract, geometric, and dimensional compositions, including bodies of work titled Unstable Geometry, Granular, Edges, Nocturne, and Quadrants, as well as three-dimensional wall volumes and installations such as Superposition. She painted the CityCanvas mural "Spring on White" in Gowanus, commissioned through the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and is a longtime participant in Gowanus Open Studios, where she has shown and sold work through the Arts Gowanus organization. She lives and works in Brooklyn.
