Nancy Krinsky

I make vessels that have organic and sometimes bendy shapes that seem to defy the material they're made of: glass. They seem to evolve into something that is both whimsical and thoughtful at the same time. In my constructed scenes, I take objects I have found accidentally (could be on the street, or in nature) or have purposely obtained and let them dictate their place in a piece. I bring different objects together till they tell a story. I look to add a touch of whimsy and air of mystery as well . The scenes seem to capture a moment in time where the future is uncertain.
