Raina Pahade

Raina Pahade (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and activist based in Brooklyn who creates multi-media paintings that explore gender, queer diasporic imagination, and the body within the South Asian diaspora. They specifically work with color, cultural motifs, abstract patterns, and textiles. They draw inspiration from Bollywood, queer theory, Bharatanatyam, mythology, and their family histories. Pahade Received their B.A. in Critical Theory and Social Justice and Studio Art from Occidental College in 2024
