Other

Ron Mehlman: My work is a fusion of stone, glass, wood, bronze, steel, spirit, and life. It is constantly transforming with the changing seasons and time of day. The sculptures are a blend of natural elements such as sunlight and atmosphere, sometimes water as well as man-made materials. My sculptures have been displayed in numerous solo and group exhibitions along the east coast, most recently at Chesterwood, the contemporary sculpture park, that was the studio of Daniel Chester French (the designer of the Brooklyn Museum). I also exhibit in Italy and France, and my work has been represented by the Kouros Gallery in N.Y.C. I have completed several large-scale commissioned sculptures for private corporations and public places in the U.S.A., Italy, France, and Saudi Arabia. In N.Y.C., I was commissioned to create a monumental granite and glass fountain, which is now a permanent installation in a midtown plaza. Janice Mehlman: As a photographer, I use light and shadow to produce abstract photographs where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and the mundane becomes magical. I then meticulously print these images onto watercolor paper creating large scale exhibition prints. My work has been exhibited in Museums and Art Galleries throughout the United States, Italy, France, and Colombia. There is a powerful psychological aspect to these photographs, which adds sensuality and tension. The final prints have a finely wrought delicacy.
