Scott LoBaido is a Staten Island-based artist known for large-scale patriotic murals and paintings centered on the American flag. Born in Staten Island in 1965 and educated in the borough, he built a decades-long career painting flags on buildings, homes, and public structures across the country. His "Flags Across America" tours—first in 2006 and again in 2015—took him through all 50 states, painting rooftop flags and, in the second tour, murals on American Legion and VFW posts; the project earned him ABC News' "Person of the Week" recognition in 2006 and the VFW Americanism Award in 2016. Beyond flag work, LoBaido has painted portrait and abstract pieces and created public sculpture addressing causes such as autism awareness.
