20/20 Vision for Schools
Art galleryThrive Collective, doing business as 20/20 Vision for Schools, is a nonprofit that brings arts programming and mentoring into New York City public schools in low-income neighborhoods. Incorporated in 2011, it runs programs spanning school murals, music instruction, student-made films, one-on-one mentoring, sports, and in-school and after-school studio art classes and clubs. Its Bring Art Back initiative highlights the finding that hundreds of New York City public schools in the poorest neighborhoods lack a dedicated art teacher. Thrive Collective is a licensed vendor of the city's Department of Education, Department of Youth and Community Development, and Department of Cultural Affairs.
