Carroll Janis is a private art dealership on Manhattan's Upper East Side, open by appointment and a member of the Art Dealers Association of America, with a program spanning modern art of 1900-1950 and the postwar period. It carries forward the work of Carroll Janis, son of the dealer Sidney Janis, whose Sidney Janis Gallery specialized in contemporary avant-garde art and became a leading exhibitor of Pop art after its landmark 1962 New Realists exhibition. Following Sidney Janis's death in 1989, the gallery continued under the direction of Carroll and, later, grandson David Janis, remaining active through the 1990s with exhibitions including a show of Mondrian's flower paintings.
