City Reliquary
Art galleryThe City Reliquary is a not-for-profit community museum and civic organization in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, dedicated to preserving and celebrating New York City's history. Founded in 2002 by Dave Herman as a window display of curiosities, vintage dentures, Statue of Liberty figurines, and subway ephemera, at Havemeyer and Grand Streets, it expanded in 2006 into a storefront on Metropolitan Avenue. Its permanent collection includes subway tokens, terracotta building fragments, and geological specimens, supplemented by rotating community collections. Beyond exhibitions, the museum hosts block parties, backyard concerts, film screenings, and signature annual events such as Collector's Night, Bike Fetish Day, and the Havemeyer Sugar Sweets Festival.
