The Cultural Museum of African Art - The Eric Edwards Collection is a museum in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, occupying roughly 7,000 square feet on the second floor of Restoration Plaza. It opened to the public on November 18, 2023, following a 2022 groundbreaking. The museum houses a collection assembled over more than fifty years by retired AT&T executive and Brooklyn native Eric Edwards, comprising over 3,000 artifacts representing all 54 African countries and spanning roughly 4,000 years, including a carved palace door by Yoruba sculptor Olowe of Ise and bronze royal leopards. Works from the collection have been shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and, in 2024, at SUNY Old Westbury. It is one of only three U.S. museums devoted exclusively to African art.
