Dieu Donne Paper Mill
Art galleryDieu Donné is a nonprofit hand papermaking studio and gallery founded in 1976 by Susan Gosin and Bruce Wineberg, growing out of Dieu Donné Press, which Gosin had started in 1974 while in graduate school. The organization takes its name from Gosin's father, who came from a multi-generational family of commercial papermakers. Incorporated as a nonprofit in 1987, Dieu Donné is dedicated to serving emerging and established artists through the collaborative creation of contemporary art using hand papermaking, offering artist residencies, workshops through its Paper Institute, and editions; recent collaborators include Diana Al-Hadid, Abdolreza Aminlari, and Chitra Ganesh. Originally based in SoHo, the organization later moved to Midtown and is now located in Brooklyn.
