Spencer Brownstone Gallery was founded in 1998 by Spencer Brownstone as a contemporary art venue in Soho, later relocating in 2016 to Manhattan's Lower East Side. Its program spans painting, sculpture, drawing, and installation by American and European artists, with a recurring interest in how everyday materials and systems shape human experience. Artists who have exhibited there include Jaime Pitarch, Jane South, Mira Dayal, Sonya Blesofsky, Shane Darwent, Jesse Chun, Ian Burns, and Fred Eerdekens, with shows reviewed in Artforum as recently as 2025. The gallery has also been listed among exhibitors at the Independent art fair in New York.
