The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA) is a nonprofit incorporated in New York in 1992 that provides artists across disciplines with studio space, tools, and a cooperative forum for developing their practice. In 1998 the organization purchased a twelve-story building on West 39th Street in Manhattan, converting it into individual studios, a gallery, and workshop space now known as the EFA Center. EFA runs two core programs: the EFA Studio Program, offering affordable workspace, and the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, which teaches techniques such as collagraph, monotype, screenprinting, and riso printing. The foundation also offers fellowships, residencies, and exhibitions featuring member and invited artists.
