Findlay Galleries
Art galleryFindlay Galleries traces to 1870, when William Wadsworth Findlay opened Findlay Art Rooms in Kansas City, selling art supplies and paintings. His son Walstein "Wally" Findlay expanded the business internationally, opening a New York location on East 57th Street in 1964, part of a network that grew to include Chicago, Palm Beach, Beverly Hills, and Paris. After Wally Findlay died in 1996 without heirs, senior vice president James Borynack acquired the gallery and merged it with David Findlay Jr. Gallery in 2016. Today Findlay Galleries operates in Manhattan and Palm Beach, representing more than 100 artists and estates, with a program spanning Impressionism, European Modernism, and 20th-century American art alongside contemporary painters.
